Trust & safety on E12 Careers

Every job on E12 Careers is attached to a business profile in the E12 directory. That connection is the point of the product — and it is also our main defence against fake postings.

What we do

Every job links to its E12 business profile. You can see who is hiring, where they are, and what E12 customers said about them.
Automatic screening. Every posting is scanned for fee requests, off-platform payment rails, implausible pay claims, reshipping patterns and screening on protected characteristics.
Human moderation. Anything flagged as high severity, and every first posting from an unverified business, is reviewed by a person before it appears in search.
Reports pull jobs quickly. Three open reports automatically pause a posting pending review.
Duplicate detection. Identical titles from the same location are flagged for review.
Automatic expiry. Postings expire on their deadline so stale roles leave search.
Honest badges. We show "verification incomplete" when it is. We do not claim every job is verified, because that would not be true.

Signals that a job is not real

Any request for money — a processing fee, a training kit, an onboarding charge.
A request for bank details, a void cheque, or a government ID number before an offer.
Pressure to move to WhatsApp, Telegram or WeChat with a raw phone number.
Pay that does not match the work, especially "no experience required".
Being asked to receive and forward parcels or payments.
An offer made without a real interview.

E12 never asks candidates to pay for anything. If a job on E12 asks you for money, use the report button on the posting. It reaches a person.

How AI is used — and how it is not

AI explains, it does not decide. A match score is guidance for a human. Every application is reviewed by a person, and E12 does not auto-reject anyone.
No protected characteristics. Matching never uses or infers age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, health, family status or immigration status — on either side of the marketplace.
Work authorisation is yours to state. It is only ever what a candidate wrote themselves. AI never infers it and never speculates about visas.
Every score is explainable. You see which requirements you match, which you have not evidenced, and what to verify. There is no hidden number.
Drafts stay drafts. Copilot writes cover letters and CV notes for you to edit. Nothing is sent on your behalf, and there is no mass auto-apply.
